Healing rituals

Healing Rituals is an experimental project that explores techniques of repair with the aim of redesigning, repurposing and regenerating clothing. The philosophy of the project is based on theories of emotional and circular design. Reflecting on these theories, Maja finds damaged garments from her personal wardrobe. She takes her visual inspiration in abstract compositions of architectural structures undergoing reconstruction. These mentioned compositions and proportions are translated onto repaired garments, using and combining different textile techniques for mending. The project embodies a caring, human-centered approach to fashion, promoting design for longevity.
